Wide Bandwidth Availability
Wide bandwidth. Wide area of coverage. Wide smiles for you.
Broadband satellites usually operate at C or Ku band, and employ an international frequency allocation of 500 MHz, enough for nearly one gigabit per second of information transfer. While this bandwidth may seem small compared to a long-haul fiber optic cable, a satellite can deliver all of its capacity throughout its entire footprint. Also, the effective bandwidth is doubled through the use of dual polarization.
This means a satellite gives you great flexibility in delivering a wide range of content over a wide area—all with consistent quality.
