Horizons-2 is located at 74 West longitude and it is offering customers access to sixteen 36MHz Ku-band transponders and four 72MHz Ku-band transponders with wide footprint coverage.

A Brief History

On December 21, 2007, Horizons-2 was launched from the Guiana Space Centre and propelled by an Ariane 5 rocket. This satellite is stationed over North America in 74W to meet the increasing demands of North America, the Caribbean Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. It is owned and operated by Horizons Satellite Holdings, LLC, a joint venture between JSAT International Inc. and Intelsat.
